So it’s not as catchy as those original Broadway lyrics, but it’s hard to fathom all the same. Five years of Good Rebellion! What a journey it has been, filled with incredible client successes and inspiring collaborations that have truly made a difference.
As a strategy and public relations firm, we've had the privilege of teaming up with a wide range of purpose-driven clients, which we like to call “the do-gooders.” From education to nonprofit, health care to government, corporate social responsibility to political advocacy – we are laser-focused on bringing about real, meaningful change.
What is a Good Rebellion, anyway? The name often sparks curiosity. After five years, I thought we might finally provide an official answer.
When most hear “rebel,” they think of someone defying authority or breaking rules. But we see rebels differently: as pioneers who challenge norms, disrupt industries, and ultimately change the world for the better. Think of characters like Jon Snow, Moana, Luke Skywalker, or Storm – they challenge us, excite us, and inspire us to follow their lead.
At Good Rebellion, we embrace this positive outlook. We believe in challenging the status quo, not for the sake of disruption, but to drive meaningful change. Our name reflects our commitment to helping clients break free from outdated strategies and embrace innovative approaches that lead to real results. We're not afraid to question conventional wisdom or push boundaries, always with the goal of achieving "good" outcomes for our clients and the world around us.
Ultimately, "Good Rebellion" embodies our belief that true progress comes from challenging norms and daring to be different – all in the name of leaving the world better than we found it. We're not just another consulting firm; we're partners in helping our clients to ignite their own "good rebellions.”
We’re not wasting a single moment. Since 2019, we’ve grown from a one-man shop to a team of 16 incredible rebels. We proudly still work with our first-ever client (thank you, Belluck & Fox), and today, we can also count massive changemakers like the American Association of State Colleges & Universities and the National Association of Higher Education Systems as part of the roster.
Our growth is also happening in all directions. Originally founded as a public relations firm, Good Rebellion is now a full-service strategy and consulting agency.
We still love to get our hands dirty to develop a memorable brand, pitch interesting stories to the media, or create a captivating digital presence. Our ethos stems from the idea that there is power in storytelling. Engaging stakeholders at every level, and enabling them to see themselves as part of a story, is what we know to be the key to a successful campaign.
But today, there’s so much more in our toolbelt. We’re helping our do-gooders small and large to identify their challenges, turn them into opportunities, and chart their futures.
